I have started taking Anastrozole(made by ACCORD) and am under the impression they are Arimidex. What i would like to know is are they the real thing or a generic form.
Really hope this is not a silly question but having read some threads i am now unsure.
Hi, if it doesn’t say Arimidex, which is a branded and therefore registered name, it will be the generic form, ie anastrozole. Arimidex is made by Astra Zeneca. The active ingredient, anastrozole, is in all the generic and branded products but it is the other, binding, ingredients that usually differ. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that. I have looked at the ingredients in both the arimidex and the anastrozole prescribed to me and cant find anything that is different so was confused.
