Re: Atypical hyperphasia found on biospy

Just an update, called breast clinic on Monday to ask if biospy result was in from the 2nd opinion from a professor and my name on list to talk about in group meeting. To make the confirmation of Atpical ductual hyperhasia or DCIS. As second lot of biospy found flat atpical to cribform/micropilliary.
The breast care nurse said they will call yesterday once they had there meeting together and get me into clinic today. But nothing no call yesterday or today. Should I be worried or is no news good news. I did mention as its a wide area I would prefer a mastectomy. Would they be sorting this out or could they have found something more! Really worried but don't want to phone.
Any ideas what the delay could be.

Thoughts are with your. You could get second opinion? And of course whatever youre treatment . Your will be here for years to come for your children , that's the advance in treatment options . Stay strong ,xx

Re: Atypical hyperphasia found on biospy

Thanks, I got my results. Wasn't great the new biopsy showed atypical ductal hyperphasia but some higher grade cells towards dcis. So it look like it may be massectomy due to the area being large. I'm ok, it's totally unbelievable as 4 week ago. I a carefree 36 year old mum. Now life seem different. But these abnormal cells have been caught very early(thank god ) just need to prepare for a mastectomy and reconstruction 😞

Re: Atypical hyperphasia found on biospy

Hi all
tomorrow the day of 2nd lot of biopsy's. Just so scared they will find cancer in the other 2 biospy along with the atypical ductal hyperphasia. It's half term and I should be doing all things Halloween with the kids. But I don't feel like anything. Just waiting to see if this is cancer. Any support would be great 😞

Atypical hyperphasia found on biospy

Hi had a biospy done has mammagram/ultrasound showed a darker area. The biospy showed atypical hyperphasia, needed second biopsy of the full area. I'm so worried about this not sure how to feel. Anyone experienced this cell change.
This all come about after havering a pain where darker area Is due to being kick by my baby. Could this change of cell be due to inflammation??..

Worried if this is a tip of a iceberg of having cancer. I'm only 36, 3 beautiful children and so worried, would I need breast removed as such a wide area across right breast.
Please need advice
