BUPA London 10k

Just to say, I completed the London 10k on Sunday, and raised money for our local breast care unit at my local hospital.

I spotted a group from Breast Cancer Care on the road side. it was lovely to see you, and I did stop briefly to say you are all doing a wonderful job, and because I have prostheses, did not suffer from nipple rub, and runners complaint I believe.

I felt so good, as had several operations over the winter, last one in March, so did not have too long to train…BUT DID IT!!!

Love and gentle hugs to all on here.

Well done. Great to read positive and inspirational stories, it is very impressive that you ran 10k after such recent surgery.

Do you plan to run any more?

Best wishes and well done again!

Jillybee, I’m so impressed ?? I was a five k runner but haven’t been for a year, since treatment. Please tell me how you trained and how soon after surgery that you were running. I’d love to get some tips. After implant recon, I’m planning to run in an out a month
