Re: Back for a 2nd ultrasound

Hi Betty, I can imagine you are anxious as you also don't like hospitals like I was. The ultrasound bit at the hospital was the bit I found the easiest. It was a quiet calm dark room (I suppose to see the screen better) and that's where they did all my biopsies, draining and lump removals. It was very private, personal and not at all like the rest of the hospital aspects. Also, no pain at all for the ultrasound or even most of the other stuff and even the Dr and specialist nurse seemed calmer and much more person centred plus took my anxiety into account. I hope this helps for when you go. Lorrainne. X

Re: Back for a 2nd ultrasound

Hi sinfullyd, ive just been recalled so off to hospital on the 4th for an ultrasound and hopfully that will be all. My gp felt a small lump in the upper outter right quadrant of breast so i was told today by breast clinic and that also coinsides with what was seen on mammogram. To be honest i never felt a lump. just hoping next tuesday will be the end of it

Re: Back for a 2nd ultrasound

I have now got the date for my scan. Wednesday 5th November. So only a week away which is not too bad. Now just to get through it. Although i have been through this process before, it is still a little nerve wracking.

Back for a 2nd ultrasound

Hi Everyone, I havnt been on this site for about a year, not since i found a lump and went for ultrasound. Everything came back fine (no lump seen on ultrasound so diagnosed with a cyst). Anyway, over the last year i hadnt really paid much attention to the lump, i did my regular breast exams and always noticed it but nothing new, until about a month ago. I noticed my breast was becomming extremely painful at times, Heavy, aching, painful, and the lump seemed to be a bit bigger. Went back to GP yesterday who gave me the once over and agreed that i needed to have another ultrasound, he also said he had found another lump in the other breast so that needs looking at too. Im too young for a mammogram so it will just be an ultrasound.

So thats where i am right now. Waiting again. I dont have my appt through yet so not sure how long the wait will be unfortunately.

I have a question for you all though. This pain in my breast is at times excrutiating. Its not specifically where the lump is, sometimes it is but other times its the whole breast or sometimes just around the centre of the breast. Does anyone else have this problem? I just want to hold it when it hurts (not always possible in public lol).
