love and hugs for your surgery next week... please keep in touch and let us know how your doing...once you can 🙂
Bought a lovely soft and pretty pink post surgery bra from M&S this week ahead of surgery Tuesday, Sadly not front opening - but you do get 20% off if you fill in the VAT free ticket - so definitely worth a look

Hi poppyj
thank you so much for your advice 🙂 Will see my BC Nurse and surgeon next week but I will definately give M&S a wee visit.
Hope you are well
sending love nd hugs xx
Having had single mastectomy & reconstruction 3 years ago, the only advice I can give is to invest in a couple of front fastening bras (if possible with the advice of your beastcare nurse) which you will probably be advised to wear day & night initially, and wait until everything settles down before investing in anything more permanent. You will find that any initial swelling will subside and then have a better idea of what will actually fit. I have found M&S post-surgery bras to be affordable (refund of VAT) and don't actually look much different to "normal" ones, which is a bonus in itslf. Their trained fitters are very helpful too. Good luck!
morning ladies...I am also looking for advice re bras...due to have mx in about a month with delayed reconstruction. Therefore looking for advice on which bras to buy. Matalan have post surgery non wired bras with pocket but are back fastening and also plenty sports bras
love and hugs to you all 🙂
Hi
Try Nicola Jane they are mostly an online company that specialise in mastectomy bras, they also have a few shops around the country, I got some really comfortable front fastening ones when I had my surgery last year
Good Luck

I also had a bra dilemma, but I was delighted to find inexpensive and supportive bras in Tesco! They aren't lacy pretty jobs, but they're not terribly ugly and they're about one-third what the M&S post-surgery bras cost. Sadly I couldn't find front-fastening ones but unless you are bigger than an F cup (I'm a G) there are also some soft cotton sports bras which are kind to skin when you have to wear them in bed.
Hope all goes well on Thursday
