Wonder if any of you can help me with recommendations / reviews of plastic surgeons.
I have an onc appointment in January, and it will be six months since my radiotherapy. I’m desperate for my reconstruction and am hoping to get the ball rolling . I’m under the Onc / breast care team at Airedale Hospital near Keighley. I would however prefer a plastic surgeon as opposed to a breast surgeon for my reconstruction. I had a MX to my left breast and am left handed so want to avoid a LD flap. Researching and reading other threads, I am favoring the DIEP style reconstruction, and feel that having a plastic surgeon will give me more options. I know St Lukes in Bradford has a specialist breast reconstruction team.
So are there any of you out there that can help with any recommendations / experiences of reconstruction in the Bradford area? I would like to go to my appointment in January with a clearer idea of who/where I would like to be referred to.
