The recently published book "The Screech Owls of Breast Cancer" by Eugene G Breen says hormones are the cause of many cases of breast cancer especially in the younger women due to the oral contraceptive. If this is true it is a preventable cause and should be highlighted more. The focus should be given to prevention. Exercise and weight and diet and genetic screening for those with family history is important. Hormone exposure is a key element whether as oral contraceptives or as HRT.
