Breast Forms

Re: Breast Forms

Hi there Treasure

Can totally relate to your problem. Exactly the same difficulties regarding the scar and my Amoena contact wouldn't stay put at first. After getting a few tips from others it worked better if absolutely dry, you are also completely dry, then try to get as much air out from behind it as you can. I would roll myself against a wall, much to my OH amusement! Saying that, when it did work, it worked too well and I found it quite horrible to remove at the end of the day and have been told to leave it on until the next morning then remove in the shower - haven't made it that far as yet - hoping for reconstruction soon if I can brave it.

Good luck to you, and keep trying.

Cheers

Re: Breast Forms

Hi Treasure,
I found my breastcare specialist/macmillan nurse excellent....she has a "cupboard full of tricks" quite literally...maybe there is such a lady/centre near you?
cheers,
V.

Breast Forms

Hi,

Can anybody help me? I had a mastectomy in 2007 and still waiting for reconstruction I am 36 years old and hate wearing prosthesis. Thought I would try an Amoena contact breast form but having problems as it keeps peeling off due to the fact that my scar line is not even and the area is concaved - help, please would appreciate any help on how to combat this, as overall do like the contact due to suffering with back problems.

Many thanks

Treasure
