Hi Everyone

I would just like to let anyone out there who lives in the Burntwood, Lichfield areas (or anywhere nearby) that myself and another lady - both having treatment for breast cancer - are starting a ‘support group’ for anyone who has breast cancer, newly diagnosed, has already gone through treatment and can offer support to other ladies.

We will initially be meeting once a month - starting tomorrow Wed 23rd September at the Wellbeing Centre in Chasetown, Staffs - this is next to the Leisure Centre. We will be meeting from 10.30 - 12.00 and will be there to offer support, natter, have and cuppa and a biscuit and hopefully make some new lifelong friends.

I hope that there are some ladies who will come along and support us. If any further information is required please reply to this thread and give your e-mail address then I will forward my telephone number.

Is there no-one out there living in Staffordshire - Lichfield, Cannock, Tamworth, Heath Hayes etc.etc. If so please get in touch we would love to meet other ladies in the area. It is free to join us and we all get on well and have a good time away from home for an hour or so. Pauline

If you look at the ‘in your area’ forum you will see that Essie has started a group at Cannock hospital. It may be worth you sending her a pm so she could tell others about your group.

Good luck, i wish you’d been around when I was diagnosed 5 years ago!

I can see by your the date that the group was started a year ago - do you still hold meetings? Would love to come as just diagnosed and waiting to see which gate I’m called to , so to speak, so would be good to chat.
