Coffee morning and new support group in York

My friend and I have been disappointed about the lack of support in York so have decided to start a group, Breast Friends York. We are going to hold meetings on the last Thursday morning of the month for everyone; the first one will be on Thursday 24th April 10am - 12pm at the Cancer Care Centre at York District Hospital. This will be a drop in with coffee, cake and chat.

We are also going to hold monthly evening meetings for younger women, aged 46 and under at diagnosis on the second Thursday of the month. Our first meeting is on 8th May at 7pm at the Pig and Pastry on Bishopthorpe Road.

We look forward to meeting any of you.

I would love to attend, but daughters wedding on 26th. Please let me know of further meetings. I’m from Whitby area but willing to travel because there is nothing around here.

Hi, I have just been diagnosed in York, so good to see there is a group. at the moment I work Thursdays but hope to catch up with women locally for support.
