Constant illness after radiotherapy or just co-incidence?

Re: Constant illness after radiotherapy or just co-incidence?

Hi Jan65
Suggest you visit your GP, make them aware and see if they can carry out some blood tests. I found I had become extremely anaemic after radio...
Re the shoulder - did you carry yourself differently after the op and/or radio? If so possible your shoulder may be compensating...GP may be able to suggest painkillers or if nerve pain or if physio may help.
Hope you feel better soon, spring may help bat off colds...

Constant illness after radiotherapy or just co-incidence?

Hi

I was diagnosed with high grade DCIS last April, 2 WLE and 15 days of radiotherapy, no other treatment or drugs.  Since my radiotherapy I have been ill an awful lot, Very bad colds, stomach ulcer, shoulder pain.  I know none of these things are directly related to DCIS but I was never ill before and wonder even after all this time (radiotherapy in September) could my immune system be low, or am I just having a run of bad luck and its pure co-incidence?
