Hi Geordies

I am moving back to Newcastle in a couple of weeks and wondered if anyone could recommend a consultant in Newcastle who specialises in triple negative breast cancer?

Hi Annie

Am not sure if anyone has pm’d you. There is a thread on here in the in your area called ’ hello anyone from the north east , where we post sometimes there are a group of about 25 of us who are on facebook. Afew are tn, but I think Jo ( Jo90) is the only one being treated in Newcastle the rest at at James Cook. I will leave a message on our fb page and hopefully someone will get back to you. We meet quite regularly if you fancy joining us.

I’m just reiterating what Deb has posted, the north east group is a warm, welcoming bunch and the level of support is really helpful.

Anyone else from the North East who is on this forum but not in the facebook group, please feel free to contact the group via facebook - as Deb’s directions or through this forum - you would be very welcome. We have friends from Teesside and Durham up to rural Northumberland and its a lovely group

Hi Annie,

I’m TN as is Emma. I’ll PM you my consultants name although I have no idea if he’s an expert. THAT got me thinking I can tell you! I do know my consultant is very nice and actively encourages me to contact him via his secretary if I’m worried about anything, which I find quite unusual for an NHS consultant.

I too live in the North East and I am also TN (as like Jo) we are both part of the same group on facebook and belong to a lovely set of ladies who often meet up for a coffee/chat/meal - feel free to join us.
