DX Nov 07
Right boob 3 cm invasive ductal carcinoma
5/11 lymph nodes affected
Er & Pr neg
Dx June 07
Lobular lump 3.6x1.3cm
Lymph node involved (think only one but had chemo first which shrunk the tumour down to almost nothing and all the lymph nodes were either clear or shrivelled by the time of surgery so can't tell whether any more than the one they tested were actully infected)
Grade - not sure but think 3?? (I don't ask too many questions, just like to be told what I need to know!!)
Good luck, look forward to the results. I have thought all along that we ought to do some questionnaires and why every one who has been dx isn't given one on lifestyle eg, diet, alcohol, pill, when periods start etc etc
Need more surgery but this is the story so far. Hope it helps

Good luck with your research.
Hi diagnosed lcis in feb after ductal removal found lump since and diagnosed invasive lobular bc last week had mri and been told i have 2 sites of cancer one only few mm the other 4cm both in right breast grade 2.
size 38 D/DD
aged 49 (just)
I have found a lot of people seem to think the bigger the tumour the worse it is, ie more cancer cells to deal with, i always think you can sometimes have a gentle giant or sometimes an aggressive little Pratt!! depends on how the tumour acts.
..and just to add myself to the stats
dx at 37yrs
no lymph node involvement
Her 2 +++
Grade 3 invasive
left breast 25mm + 8mm grade 3 + 28mm DCIS + 7 lymph nodes
Hi Mel for stats I was 39 at diagnosis (left side)
Shorty2- I thought about the deoderant theory and have changed to a roll on- not sure if thats any better
For your stats purposes I am 39, but you know that and my bc is my Right boob, although inconclusive in left ... so maybe both!!!!
I've spent a bit of time on the American site - breastcancercare.org (I think) and with lobular cases, like me it's more common on the left side - interesting. I also read the big debate in the papers a couple of weeks ago about deoderants and how BC can occur more on the left side as the majority of people are right handed and spray for lomger on the left! But that has to go along with all the factors such as diet, dairy, alcohol, HRT, pill, age on having children etc , etc and now I see (according to yesterdays Daily Mail ) the size of our Mothers hips!! What else can be a factor?
Anyway sorry to hijack your size thread!
Love and best wishes to all
