Re: Do you still oncologist whilst receiving Herceptin

My primary carer is my surgeon, but I see my onc also every 3 months, my surgeon said in the first year they like to see me every 3 months. Your mum is probably being monitored but she can always make an appointment in the meantime!

Hi Kat,

Sorry you haven't had any replies to your question as yet, but hopefully someone will now see it.  You are more than welcome to give our helpline a ring and have a chat with the staff there.  The helpline is closed on Monday this week due to the Bank Holiday but will be open again on Tuesday at 9am - 5pm, 0808 800 6000, calls are free.

Take care,

Do you still oncologist whilst receiving Herceptin

Hello,

My mum is half way through her Herceptin treatment but she hasn't had an appointment with her normal oncologist since Dec. Is this normal?

She has seen another oncologist a couple of times (a radiotherapy specialist) since she started radiotherapy which has now finished.

I am now a bit confused now as to who's care is my mum under whilst she is still receiving Herceptin.

Thanks.

Kat xx
