As I understand the rules for cancer patients, all cancer drugs are free. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.
Is the patient under 60 years of age, and did you fill in the back of the prescription form correctly ?
I have had radiotherapy after surgery for two tumours on my left breast. I am now having the Zoladex injections to bring on the menopause. When receiving my second injection I was told I could now start the 5 year course of a daily pill called Exemestane. When I collected the pills I was asked for the £8.05 prescription fee. This left me slightly stunned. Was I wrong to presume it was free?!
