Hi Ladie's I belong to Breast Friends on FB if you would like adding to this group, add me as a friend on facebook so i then can add you in return, it's a good laugh !!! Very crazy bunch on their! Oh my face book name is Teresa Dainty, my profile pic is me and my son Dancing, I have a tattoo on my arm..Just in case there are more Teresa Dainty's lol.

Oldandlumpy. My privacy setting are strict, bit i'm visable to everyone to add me or message.
I can't be seeen in breast friends to others. My settings are set so it doesn't show to others and nor do any posts to friends, or groups.

YAF, you could always create a different hotmail account and get THAT account to link to anyone BC-related. Would that work for you?

mmmm, I am on facebook. I do not have privacy set high because I like old friends or music contacts to find me.

But I do have people on their as my friend who are not that close, the sort of person who you like well enough and so it would be rude to turn down the friend request but not the sort of friend you would go out with. I have not told everybody i have cancer. So I would love to be face book friends withe everyone on here that has given me such good support and chuckles, but I do not realy want my membership of this club to be made public.

Hi no you not being thick alot of people have there settings set to private and dont realise. I didnt realise myself at first, it was only when I went and looked I realised and made mine viewable. My details are on my profile.

Just look for "breast friends" and see if there's anyone on there you recognise, and ask for an invite. That'll get you started.

hmmmm lol they probably dont, its a bit of a time waster, and very addictive.

BUT one thing I will say is that when mum was diagnosed and I used this site three years ago about fortie ladies all moved on to facebook and we have formed such a strong bond. All there for each other during treatment etc. Sharing the good times and the not so good. When I got my diagnosis this year, these are the friends who have literally held me up, because they really understand.

Your profiles on here are private and can only be seen when registered users log into the website. You can change your personal settings so that only contacts can see your profile.

We would just remind everyone to be aware that all things made public may threaten your anonymity.

That's what I thought after doing the same thing last night, so I'm assuming that they aren't searchable.

They're private. If you try and view a profile without being signed in, it just takes you to the log in page.

Hey mods, surely people can only read our profile on here (and therefore our Fb contact and other info) if the profile is NOT set to 'contacts only' ? i.e. people can put their Fb info on the profile on here but set it to 'contacts only', thereby making it private...just means you have to request an add...

Also, for others, the threads on this forum do come up with alarming ease when googling bc stuff. Fb itself caan be much more private!

Okay, I'm a bit confused now because I just logged out, came back to the forum and then clicked on a profile which took me back to the home page telling me that I need to be logged in to do that.

Does this mean that our profiles are still searchable even though you need to be logged into the forum to view them?

Thanks for the reminder Sam! I didn't think our profiles were available to anyone not a member even though all the posts are searchable. If that is the case then I'd prefer just to PM people rather than leave the details in my profile.
