Hiya, my name is Emily and I’m 21 and yesterday I had my fibroadenoma removed. I was absolutely terrified but luckily I was first in and I was back at home by 1pm! However, I’ve got a beaded suture that’s very sharp at either end and I’m wondering if this was normal for everybody? My incision is about 10cm long down the left hand side of my left breast and I keep catching my arm on it. Apart from that I don’t feel too bad, slightly heavy and tight due to all the bruising around! Also, does anybody have any suggestions on how is best to keep my dressing dry but still have a shower? The incision starts at the level of my armpit so it’s very difficult to wash! Thank you!
