Grade 3 and triple negative - so worried

Whitfield, the whole thing as you say is horrendous.  It really is especially in the early days.  Waiting for results are extremely draining but the good thing is it gives the medics a full picture of what treatment you need.  I had node involvement, high grade and her2 positive.  Thought it was an immediate death sentence.  I no longer think that as I have got through the treatment and doing my best to get fitter.  I have met ladies who have had secondaries for over ten years and continue to get treatment.  At the moment you dont have a diagnosis of secondary bc and it is normal practice when there is node involvement to do scans.  Things will improve over the  next few months once treatment starts, take your time focus on the future and do everything you can to stay healthy and fit.  We all would like to think we would die at an old age however life is not like that.  Cancer survival rates are improving all the time and the treatments for this cancer is good, so take heart.  Good luck with the results.  Take care.

I got my wig from a local salon, but my hospital have me a list of local places. Work is the least of your worries right now - I worked through a lot of my treatment as it took my mind of my cancer, but a lot of people don't and you need to do whatever is right for you....

Just give yourself some time to get your head round things. We have all been where you are and it's hard but you can get through it. Node involvement is not a death sentence. It is worse than not having it but treatment can still be every effective. Do ring the helpline. Given your posts you might also consider going to see your dr as they can prescribe something to help lower your anxiety levels for the short term.

The whole thing is a nightmare. How do people get through this?

Am I strong enough? I'm so out of my mind with worry. Posting had helped me express my feeling and getting responses from other people who are in same boat.

It odd I really thought I would die from a stroke or heart attack so this has come as a massive shock.

I don't know if I can do it!

Its sounds like you're having a tough time at the moment.  Whilst you wait for the other users to reply if you need additional support do give the helpline a call on 0808 800 6000.  Here you can talk through your feelings and concerns with a member of staff who will offer you a listening ear as well as emotional support and practical information.  Lines are open weekdays 9 to 5pm and Saturday 10 to 2pm.

I'm freaking out as still waiting for bone and CT scan results. I feel so alone and frightened. Results due Thurs so the nearer I get the more worried I am. Nodes involved so it's all bad so far and so worried it has travelled.

I also need to know where to start re wigs? Is there any special wigs or companies that are good at making these?

Haven't been back to work since dx.
