Re: Gran!

Gran! Hey there,
My gran is the most precious person in the world to me. Over the last 5 years she has had cancer on her ribs twice and had 2 ribs removed, christmas 2005 she had a mastectamy and recived kemo and raidiotherapy till september 2006. It is Jan 2007 and they had told her the cancer has come back. Surgery isnt an option because it would mean going into the chest cavity wall. She is having bone scans and a ct scan this week to determine what will happen next.
I am a strong person however when it comes to my gran im not, what also makes it worse is that Im a first year adult nursing student in canterbury.
I moved away from home and im over 300 miles away and cant nip home at and moment when i may be needed or when something has happend. I am also working on a ward with alot of breast cancer patients and the majority of the patients sadly dont make it. I feel this is dragging my strenght/emotions down and making me very negative.

i am woundering if any one could possibly provide me with anything really as im at a loss and very afraid, to afraid to admit that death comes to us all and that it can happen at any time....
