Hi J
Just seen your post - great that you've now finished chemo. And just to add we took our girls to Florida the summer after I finished chemo (for mets) and they were just as excited - at 18 and 20 LOL
Enjoy the holiday.

Re: HAPPY-HAPPY-HAPPY-my very own whoo hoo moment!!!!

JUST AN UPDATE... last chemo today whoo hoo! just gotta keep away from infection over the next 10 days then it's FLORIDA FOR ME AND MY BABIES I think OH definitely deserves to come too, as many know there have been many times and tantrums, tears and believing we would have to cancel our longed for and hard saved for trip,,,,and the thought of explaining that to my little autistic boy??? but the dream is still alive!!! Yes I have date for mx/recon 3rd October and then RADS after, but a window of joy in between!!! I never expected to have this fight again after 14 cancer free years and 6 months ago I never thought I would get this holiday...life has it's twists and turns eh? even oncy said wont start taking the tamoxifen till after hol so I don't suffer with side effects??!! whoo hoo... I will send a cyber postcard to you all XXXX even the se's to come won't dampen my spirits just keep those infection gremlins away!!!!!!
love to all Jeanette XXXXX

Re: HAPPY-HAPPY-HAPPY-my very own whoo hoo moment!!!!

That is fantastic news - thank god for that, it must be sooo hard to have to go through this for a 2nd time, to have all that unknown stuff AGAIN - I dread that happening I really do.

No apologies necessary, anyone getting that news would be very happy! When I was told that they'd got it all out and no lymph or vascular involvment I was the same for ages and we had a big fat bottle of Champagne (Ok, it was a half price one from Tesco but still) to celebrate 🙂

Good for you and good for your kids xxxx

Flags up the flagpole for you.

And I just burst into tears reading your little girl's comment, which proves I'm a soppy sod. It did take me by surprise though, and I bet the waitress or waiter at the restaurant had to take a "quiet moment" too.

Brilliant news.

HAPPY-HAPPY-HAPPY-my very own whoo hoo moment!!!!

For those who don't know my story, I have done this journey before....and this time (new primary other breast,) every time I reached a results stage, I thjought it'll be OK... cancer again??.....it'll be ok, it wasn't OK...got it early this time... not early enough, WLE march 4th.... invasive grade 2, ext LVI ...SNB 4th April... there will be nothing in the nodes...there was...Chemo started 18th April, 3xFEC+3XTAX, (2nd mx after that)... then a Bone/CT scan to see if futher spread scans on May 6th.... Been TOO TERRIFIED to ask for results...plucked up courage to ask today whilst doing bloods for next chemo... ALL CLEAR, NOTHING, NO EVIDENCE OF ANY METS!!!!!!!!!!
Picked my kids up from school took em to pizza hut for celebration they were excited and my little girl (age 7) said all big brown doe eyed to the waitress " We are hear celebrating coz there's no cancer in mummys bones!!!" It was at that point I cried!!! Thanks to all for your support...and to those just learning of your DX remember this I've beat it once already, It can be done XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
forgive my jolliness but I've waited 6 months for good news and DONT mean to sound smug I'm just SOOOOOO HAPPY!!!!! Love to all Jeanettexxxxxxxx
