I just had herceptin at home yesterday i finished chemo 3 weeks ago, and am now just on herceptin.
I had a subcutaneous injection into my thigh.
Did any of you ladies get any side effects quite soon afterwards? Or did they take a few days to kick in? Would be really grateful to hear any ones experiences.

hi Emma, I only had a couple of reactions immediately following the infusion but didn’t have anything else after that. Hope all goes well.

I had my first Heceptin same day as you but im confused because they told me first ever dose of it had to be given via infusion and i was watched for any side affects for 6hrs…i had to be in all day for it !! and it was given slowly,they said i could only have injections once i had it via infusions a few times !! I had no reactions and am still feeling fine on it though.
Have been told that most women dont get side effects on Heceptin and that they cope well on it but i know its not always like that.
