Breast Cancer Care
Hi Yingy here - thanks so much for your replies. Suzee - I'm having wide local excision to remove the lump (7mm) and some surrounding tissue - also checking under arm lymphs. Waiting for the results will be a nightmare - he said I would prob have radio and tablets after the op. Im 60 so he reckons my lump is hormone sensitive. Just hope the lymphs are ok.
Hi Yingy and GOOD LUCK for 22 May. 7mm is very small. I had a 5 mm lump removed last month (2nd time after remission of 17 years) and am taking Arimidex daily for 5 years. Am back at the gym and yoga classes and very optimistic even though I am 68!
Chest x-ray and bloods are just routine prior to operation. Am thinking of you - it is the waiting and not knowing that gets you down but keep busy and keep smiling.
hi yingy! hi yingy the chest xrays and blood tests are just routine before your op, i had them both done before my mascectomy. i didnt get any results back so i assume everything was ok for them to go ahead. i think its just to check your fit and well before having anastetic. what op are you having? i had mascectomy last july and i had chemo and radio and now im having herceptin 3 weekly for a year, im doing fine its a long road but youll get there if you need anymore information feel free to ask we are all here for you , youve come to the right place take care for now and let us know how you get on. xxx suzee

Breast Cancer Care
Hi everybody Yingy here
Went to see the specialisy yesterday and had chest xray and bloods - go in for op on 22nd May - my lump is 7mm and Grade 2 so hoping all ok. I feel really nervous waiting for my chest and blood results - anybody else felt like this. I had an operation in February and because of that had lots of blood tests already this year -they were all fine so hoping this one is too. Also I'm sure my blood tests would throw up some markers if there was anything sinister going on wouldn't they ? Hope you're all well.
