Breast Cancer Care

Had my results and I have an early small breast cancer Grade 2 which they say is very treatable. I go to see the specialist on Tuesday and I have to have blood tests and a chest xray ( I find that frightening) then I go to have the op - they will take the lump plus surrounding tissue and test it to see what treatment I will have. I feel okay and I am very lucky as the company I work for pay for me to have private treatment (not that it’s any quicker) but I have to use it.

I have cried and have no tears left but it;s just the C word that frightens you and you assume its all over the place and you won’t survive. Thanks for your support and hope I still here from you all - hope your all ok and all feeling positive.

Lots A love

Hello Yingy.

Welcome to this lovely supportive site, you are amongst friends here.

I had the same diagnoses just before Christmas, I too was devastated at the time, I had the lump removed and some lymph nodes for testing I then had radiotherapy and put on Tamoxifen…I had such wonderful care and support at the clinic, it was almost taken out of my hands…I felt so protected there.

Now 5 months on, I feel back to how I felt before it was diagnosed…Yes I have to be checked every 6 months and yes I have side effects from the Tamoxifen but a small price to pay for being well again… yes it is still on my mind but nothing like it was at the beginning.

Please keep us posted on how you are getting on.

Hugs Val. XXXX.
