I finished my 8 rounds of chemo at the end of September.
I had my surgery at the beginning of Nov and I saw my consultant yesterday. She recommends 5 weeks of rads and 1.5 week booster (that’s 33 rads in total) but because I’m off at Christmas, we cannot start til next year.
I am slightly worried that there is going to be 3 months between the end of my chemo and the beginning of my rads, my cancer could come back…has anyone been in the same situation?
Please share your thoughts.

I had WLE and nodes removed on Aug 20th but didnt need chemo so not sure if this would be the same but I am starting my Rads on 24th of Nov, no one seems concerned as to the wait as i was told from Rads nurse that up until 6 months ago this was the norm?? but they have changed it now to 4 week wait from op, again not sure why?? Hope this is of some help or reassurance for you.

Half before and half after, as a compromise, maybe?
My last chemo was 9/9/09, and I didn’t start rads til mid December 09 due to my poor health - they didn’t seem bothered about the delay particaularly so I wouldn’t worry yourself too much
