Re: How long to go back to work after a mastectomy?
Hi emma I had mx and immediate recon with implant and strattice in February and worked from home 4 weeks post op and back to work full time at 7 weeks post op. I think everyone is different how the recover and I know some ladies go back earlier , some later. All dependent on your job as well - no heavy lifting etc. Found going back tiring but so good to feel almost normal again. Take your pain meds for as long as you need them as that makes a big difference to how you cope. Good luck x
Hi everyone, I am due to have a mastectomy in June, I'm not having reconstruction, I'm having an implant so smaller op. I'm just wondering how long it was before people returned to work? I've had chemo first and have worked part time throughout. I probably won't need to have rads either. I'm really keen to get back to work within a few months if not less.
