Thanks for bumping this thread to one of the top 10, I despaired of ever seeing it again! Also had a couple of texts from Clare, but Twinks has already passed on the gist so I won't repeat. And as I didn't know you'd all been sending good wishes I admit I didn't pass any of them on!

Hope everyone's ticking along nicely (that's about the best we can hope for, depending on stages of treatment) and that you're getting a bit more sleep than I am. And I don't even have the darling Dex to hold to blame!

Yes much kinder today as the sun shone here on the coast and I found a new cleaner who had had M.E. herself so that should be a good omen for when she helps me....

How's the treatment package going for you at present?
Not too many side effects I hope.... Do hope life at home is good too.
It's just so lovely to find you again and actually talk to you even though it's through Clare's thread! I'm sure she'd be happy for us to reconnect in this way. Are you still in touch with Steris?
We did say we'd make contact when the summer comes...maybe the three of us could plan a point of contact??? That would be just fabulous. If you can still speak to her do send her my very best wishes.
Not sure yet how I find out whether I can find your message of friendship????I'm not too good at navigating this forum yet! Feels really quite alien but maybe through Clare we can keep an eye on each other's progress.

Some good news, Clare is escaping home tomorrow! She's been drained so is a lot more comfortable. I bet she can't wait to be back in her own bed!

I'm just bracing myself for chemo no.5 on Friday. Got lunch with my boss & his tomorrow. First time I've seen them since I went off back in Jan...no comment! I'm actually quite nervous about seeing them. Be glad when it's over I think.

I've found Clare's thread at last!
However, very sorry to read that she's in hospital at present. Do hope it's a good form of recuperation for our Clare and she'll benefit from the treatment received.
I will try and find this thread again and read any updates.

Clare's blood transfusion yesterday has perked her up which is good news. She's still in hospital whilst they sort out her calcium levels. She claims tbe only weirdo on the ward this time is her!

I decided to stay home tonight & rest for a change. Been a bit naughty & out lots lately. Got The Voice on whilst snuggled up on the sofa.

Hi Ladies

I spoke to Clare this afternoon whilst she was having her blood transfusion. She's not been feeling so great & is very tired but hopefully the new blood will perk her up. Unfortunately she's just been in touch to say the men in the white coats have claimed her again and she's back in hospital with high calcium levels again so she's a bit miffed to say the least!

I shall keep you updated with her progress.

Sounds like there has been lots going on in your life Clare and not all of it good, but home and bed sound like just the right place to be.
Hoping you get a boost with the blood. Is there a Mac or District nurse who can help out with some decent pads?

I hope you have a good chat with your brother, I recall you felt let down by him earlier. Being open and honest with him; I am sure your relationship will get back to where it was.
This weather is weird, I was sitting in my office, with views on beautiful blue skies when I heard a roll of thunder, next minutes my lawn was white with hailstone. (the word lawn is to be taken lightly, let's use the word grass instead).

Rest rest & rest....lol....this is Clare we're talking about...she never does what she's told!

I'm trying to rest now that both hubby & my parents have departed but...my brother is driving up tonight, I get the first look at a short film that I've agreed to score by Monday tonight & a singer is coming to visit me Thurs afternoon as she wants some original songs written for her in the style of Kelly Clarkson.

Suppose I ought to get out of bed....lol....although the big hail storm going on outside makes me want to pull the duvet up over my head!

Clare - I found the best way to stop the endless phone calls AND to keep in touch and receive the love & support out there was to set up a Caring Bridge web page - everso easy to do (v. user-friendly!!) It's a bit like this, but with a wider audience. You (or yours) post an update with as much detail as you want/don't want as often as you want. Those you have invited to be part of your journey can leave you messages of support, which you can read when you have time/feel up to it. It saved me a whole load of hassle, and meant people could keep in touch without feeling they were intruding. There are different levels of privacy...

Sounds like an exciting week! The sleep is DEFINITELY important .. go for it!

I am so happy to be home
Phone never stopped ringing, In the end I turned it off as I was up and down like a yoyo........... I can't take it easy, so far as I have my massage at 9.30am then my sister is coming over to play and before that Diane is popping into see the patient.....for an hour.
My stomach is leaking big time, I think it started just before I left the hospital so will try and scrounge some dressings from the hospice if thats a possiblility. At the moment I am using my daughters pads that absorb some liquid but not like tenna lady!!!!
Then Wedsenday I have nothing but sleep, Thursday I am hoping my veins have recovered sufficiantly to donate at least 5 mil of blood to cross match my bloods ready for a transfusion on Friday, so all sorted for this week.
Hope you are all fine and it pans out to the way you want it too.
