I just wants to say hi and sorry about your diagnosis although it sounds like a positive one (as much as it can be!). I haven't had my op yet so can't help you with the specifics.
So sorry you are having to join us. Don't concern yourself with pain because you can have medication to help with that. Carrying your toddler will be an issue - do you have anyone else in the house that can help you? If so you will have to let them but if not then you will have to train her to put herself in the buggy or car seat and provide a step for her to get in and out of bed or cot if she is still in one. You can still give cuddles and hugs either in bed or on the sofa just no lifting!
I only had a lumpectomy and was not allowed to left anything heavier than a pint of milk for a couple of weeks.
On Monday I got my biopsy results. I have breast cancer stage 1 grade 2. I see my surgeon on Monday and will have a mastectomy and reconstruction in the new year. I'm worried most about the pain and not being able to lift, carry and hold my DD who will be two in January.
