Re: Is anyone a wife/partner/relative of a man with breast cancer?
Your OH can ask me anything he likes. I may come across as grumpy and argumentative on other threads but i had no-one to ask when I wanted to know "is this normal" or "does everyone feel this effect?" and am very willing to talk about it to other men.
I also know what it is like to be a helpless spectator as my wife is going through a second round of a different and more lethal cancer.
Supporting a scared partner is tough in a different way and i have great sympathy for that side too.
I kept detailed notes of every meeting, exam and treatment from first visit to GP through mastectomy, chemo, infection abscess, radiotherapy and into herceptin, so I know not just what happened and when, but more importantly how it all felt and the effect it had on me and my daily life.
