I have a friend that had breast cancer 16 years ago, she had node clearance, chemo and radiotherapy back then. Anyway I saw here today at a coffee morning and she said she got a recall after a mammogram in May and she has the same type of cancer in the other breast. She had a WLE in June and is having rads now. So is a recurrence the same thing as secondary?
Blueash, Secondary breast cancer is when it travels to a distant site. EX: lungs, liver, brain, bones, etc. What your friend has is called a recurrence. Wishing her the best! FF
