Anybody else getting this while taking hormone therapy. I took Fermara for 12 months and sometimes it felt like I had things crawling in my hair, was awful especially when out, even when I had just washed my hair.
Well Fermara did’nt work for me, I had a recurrence so am now taking Tamoxifen and while its not so bad its still itchy. I can only put it down to dry skin, while I can moisturise my body the heads not so easy.
Just wondered if anybody else has this problem and if so has found anything that helps.
I do! what a relief somebody else has (I actually posted about a month ago asking what skull mets felt like, as mine has been worrying me). For the last month I have had a weird prickly sensation, but only at the back of my head. It has started to worry me (particularly at 4am, when I’m convinced it is a pain and I have brain mets!!! )
I didn’t have this feeling when I took Tamoxifen,Femara or Aromasin. I now have faslodex injections. I am a teacher, so actually did check for head lice!
Hope you manage to get some relief from it soon, it is SO irratating isn’t it?
I should imagine its just what head lice would feel like, I have never considered brain mets, just an annoying itch.
I also have an annoying cough, tamoxifen is getting the blame for that as well, it has a lot to answer for, just hope its doing its job unlike Fermara.
