Ahh nice to be back online properly jewels...
What a lovely week off ive had. I said to my boyfriend that i didnt want to hear the C word unless i brought it up, which meant it was normal. I felt 100%, we walked, had a BBQ, had several drinks...met up with friends, did loads of driving about, and generally had completely cancer free time. It made me realise how much cancer dominates our/my day, whether taking meds, waiting for appointments, side effects, trying to plan stuff etc etc. No wonder we all get so down at times, i mean we have had to take on board a huge thing with no warning or preparation, and yet we are still trying to go about our daily lives, and "not be any trouble" to anyone....!!.
I think we are all blooming marvellous!!. 😉
Oh also my daughter came over for a 48hr flying visit, which was good although as i looked so well she didnt feel moved to do anything helpful, well unless you include letting me tidy up after she'd left today :-)!!
Jill, pleased youre keeping well and the baldness is being embraced..
I must say to all those who have temporarily said au revoir to their hair that you would not want to be me, though so far mines intact with no loss, its a swweaty greasy mess, as i can only wash it 2x a week, in this heat its a frizz ball, cant use any products, heat etc on it, and im sure ive got lice as we went to a medieval re-enactment and it was very realistic lol!.
Sorry youve been under the weather Emma,(Melrose), really hope its just a one off, as you seemed ok last time. maybe too much cock and not enough tail at the bar (sorry if thats too cheeky 😉 Hopefully youll be bouncing right back soon.
Ha ha Fiona, i did snigger re the "f'all"...sounds like youve been keeping well too, did you get to check out the Zumba?.
Chelle, fingers crossed you keep well this week and avoid being an in-patient (and dropping the phone)!. The gym would be a hot bed for germs and all that sweaty lycra clad lunch boxes...definately prefer a walk lol...
Marion, hows the cough/dripping nose..bet youll get your own back on the OH by kicking him out the bed when he starts to snore..
Sandra, hope youve had fun visiting family, glad youre doing well, are you feeling better with the wig now?.
Nicj glad to hear youre still around though terrible experience re the PICC line. I hope something gets sorted for you, and also that the staff apologie when you are next there. No water in thsi heat too, thats poor!.
Faye, Yorkshire was nice, i hadnt been there before, York was good, though the Jorvig centre a bit disappointing. The weather wasnt as hot and sunny as we expected, but it was lovely area. We also took in some of Lincolnshire too. A long drive back down south though.
TaylorJ, again i chuckled re the vasectomy costume, that would be a Borat style Mankini wouldnt it lol??
Ann, hope the wind is receeding and the fan/sofa combo are keeping you cool. get the OH to install one of those huge fans like on "aint half hot mum", (watched it as a kid ) then he could put on the loin cloth and be your own punkawalla or whatever the term was...
Cress, hope youve enjoyed a quiet time with your book and a long cold drink...
Emma-peachy_ lovong teh hosue, youre very organised to have got it all sorted while going through this too...
Phew, well hopefully im up to date with everyone, im now going to tackle the mountain of washing, hopefully it wont all need ironing..
Got my Onc chat and bloods tomorrow then hopefully full steam ahead for round 2 on Wednesday. At least in this heat the cold cap will feel not so bad( she says shuddering at the thought of it all again!!).
Ok special ladies, hope you are keeping ok and will catch up again tomorrow after work...to all those temporarily MIA, hope we hear from you soon..
xxxx
