I was diagnosed in May with the same as you only mine is bilateral and I had 3 cancers across both breasts. I don't have children but I am 29 and have just had my first surgery so there maybe things we can help each other with.

I'm so sorry you find yourself here, but I promise you'll get lots of support. As well as the link that Sam has provided for the Younger Womens section, there's also a facebook page which was started by a regular poster on this site. There are quite a few ladies in your position, some have undergone chemotherapy during pregnancy. You need to like the page and then send a PM to admin and they'll add you to the secret group, i'm sure you'll get a lot of support there.

Hi PST,
Thinking of you. I'm sure that you will be receiving exceptional care (just follow the NHS conversation on the 'whats worked for you locally' to see all the glowing testaments for NHs care in breast clinics). I can't take away the anxious wait, but it got a bit easier for me when I knew what was what and we got started on things, Just taking things a stage at a time was helpful - thinking too far ahead sent me nuts! I'm a very independant woman, but the best advice i was given (and it was hard to take!), was now is no time for pride and take all the support you can get. More so for you with such a young baby. There are some similar stories on the younger woman forum. Take care.

As well as the support you receive here you might find it helpful to give the BCC helpline a call on 0808 800 6000. Here you can share your feelings and concerns with someone who will offer you a listening ear as well as emotional support and practical information. The lines are open Monday to friday 9 to 5pm and Saturday 10 to 2pm.

Hi PST, I' m not in your position (being 61years young) but may be able to point you in the direction of some relevant support. If you scroll down the left hand side of this page you'll find under 'Talk to Others in a Similar Situation' a section for Younger Women, click on that and it will bring up a whole host of threads. The one entitled 'Newly Diagnosed and Scared for the Future' has been started by a young woman in a very similar situation to yourself.

Hi I'm new to this group. Am still in shock but getting stronger as I was diagnosed 3 days ago. I'm 31 yrs old have just give birth a gorgeous girl (well who's 11 weeks old now). I have grade 3 invasive ductal carcinoma and ultrasound showed lymph node involvement but I'm waiting for those results which hopefully ill get on Monday. I have no more info on anything so other worst part for me is not knowing what I'm fighting. I found a lump 3 weeks after I gave birth and assumed it was a blocked duct until my GP referred me after mY 6 week postnatal check.
how can the best moment you your life be followed by the worst?
has anybody else gone through this after/during pregnancy?
