Re: Knat bite

Hi

Its a worry isnt it, Lymphodema is a real threat when nodes removed I have Lymphodema in arm & breast after a simple rose thorn prick ! I would keep an eye on the area involved, usual signs are puffiness in arm heavy feeling & warmth, usually lymphodema occurs if bite/injury becomes infected and it sounds like you reacted too quickly for that to happen but as it was a bite if you are worried go and see your bcn for advice

Good luck x

Knat bite

Hi..

Im new to the forum and just learning about breast cancer.  I have my left breast removed and lymphnodes removed as well.

I have got a knat bite on the left arm which i have kept clean and used cream. the bite itself has cleared up nicely..

I have just today felt unwell with flu like symtoms and the fluid under my arm does seemed to have got bigger. There does seem to be a stinging sensation done arm and slight soreness across chest.

its been 5 weeks since my op, and recovery has gone very well.

I may be over reacting.

better to be safe than sorry as they say..

Thanks
