When you say you've learned to live with the discomfort have you just put up with it or do you have massage, physio or something?

Re: LD thoracodorsal nerve division

Hi

I had this done due to a very uncomfortable feeling of tightness around both my back and across both reconstructed breasts. The tightness was particularly bad when I excersised. The surgery was very staight forward and was able to get back to normal after a week or so. However I would say that is has only reduced the tightness by around 25-30% at best and now I have learned to live with the uncomfortableness. the fact that the surgery was so straight forward why not give it a go.

Good luck

LD thoracodorsal nerve division

Hi, is there anyone out there who has undergone surgery to divide the thoracodorsal nerve after LD flap reconstruction. I have experienced twitching, pulling and flexing of the 'breast muscle' since my surgery 15 months ago. The surgeon has suggested surgery to correct this. i am anxious to share the experience with someone who has already undergone this surgery before I decide.
