I have been considering this myself as I am due to have mastectomy on 11th Feb. BCC do have very useful information on LD and other reconstructions, do you have some of their leaflets.
There are threads on this subject including "Any positive comments on LD reconstruction" which I will bump up for you. If you search this subject, most people seem to abbreviate it to LD.
