Re: Living with Secondary Breast Cancer-Clinical trials

Dear FMJT60

I am sorry that you are disappointed with the service and would like to reassure you that we take all comments and feedback seriously.

Breast Cancer Care are UK wide and have offices in London, Cardiff, Sheffield and Glasgow.  The moderator sent you the information for the Glasgow office as they work remotely and it was a bank holiday weekend.  By posting this information it meant you wouldn't have to wait a number of days before someone was back in the office and able to provide the information to them so that they could then pass it on to you.  I am sorry that you found this disappointing.  All the latest information regarding our services can be found on the website Here and more specifically the information sessions can be found Here .  If you have any further questions regarding any of our services please do contact your nearest office, all of whose information can be found here .  The contact details for all enquiries for any further information is provided in the content of the post and they would be very happy to hear from you and answer any questions you may have.

Best wishes

I'm terribly sorry, I didn't realise that this site was for England only. I must admit that, had I been a moderator for bcc, I would've found out the information for the person asking the question, instead if redirecting them. Disappointed with the service yet again

Living with Secondary Breast Cancer-Clinical trials

If you are interested to know more about Clinical trials you may like to know that we are delivering several information sessions at the Living with  Secondary Breast Cancer monthly meetings in Cardiff, North London, Derby, Sheffield and Bristol. The aim of the session is to talk about the purpose of clinical trials and research studies, how trials are approved, why trials are necessary and what do they look at? How new drugs are tested? What's involved in participating in a trial – why/ when might it be suggested and eligibility criteria and talking to your team about clinical trials: accessing appropriate trials in your area and in other centres.

The dates for the sessions are-

Cardiff 15 May

Derby 1 June

Sheffield 11 June at the Overview Day

Bristol 8th July

North London 2 July

If you'd like to come along to any of the sessions or find out more then please email secondaryservices@breastcancercare.org.uk or phone us on 0345 077 1893
