Ahhh ok, then I'm not entirely sure where you stand on this, yes, it might be a return gp visit and referall. Were you told that what they were removing 'could' be cancerous before they biopsied?
Sorry, did you have something benign removed? Was there additional treatment after surgery ?
Hiyer Suzie,
you are definitely in the care of your BC nurse, infact I was told it is for 'life' that you can ring them and see them . I have a massive what I presume must be scar tissue area, much bigger than the original tumour, and assorted other lumps and bumps that weren't there before. Two weeks ago I had a follow up appointment and the oncologist seemed to think they were 'soft' and not concerning. Well they were certainly concerning me and still are, but I have been checked so just need to trust them I guess and await the next follow up. I am 7 months post surgery by the way, so it seems that scar tissue can really hang around. Honestly, ring them and get seen, that's what the BCN is there for. X
Hi Suzie, it is normal to have lumpy scar tissue after the operation, my insision is around my nipple too and i have several lumps now which I didn't before, all perfectly normal and they do soften and settle down as time goes on , I hope this helps to put your mind at rest Xx Jo
