Hi Double Trouble, I can't directly answer your question, as chemo effectively knocked out my ovaries so I am 'just' on Tamoxifen without the Xoladex to send them off to sleep. However, for several months after I started taking Tamoxifen I experienced what I can only describe as mild menstrual cramping roughly every fourth week, albeit with no bleeding. Whether this was my ovaries having a 'last hurrah' or the fact that I still have some underlying hormonal variation, I don't know. What I do know is that it takes a few months for things to settle down and quite a lot of pre-menopausal or peri-menopausal women seem to have some similar effects.
If it were me, I'd give my BCN a ring and explain to her what is happening and see what she has to say, or failing that speak to my GP, who should also be able to reassure you. It is hard not to fear the worst, especially in the early days, but most likely there is a simple explanation and you will soon feel better and reassured.
