Hi Just wanted to say hello and tell you a bit a about myself.

Was diagnosed with breast cancer in September and since then it has been a rollercoaster ride to say the least. Had my mastectomy in October with a diep reconstruction and now recovering at home. I am  one of the lucky ones as I don’t need further treatment apart for tamoxifen for the next 5-10 years. So I now hope that  I can say “I had breast cancer” and now just need to get on with life.

Welcome to the BCC discussion forums, I’m sure some of the other users will be long soon to offer you their experiences and support.

In the mean time if you need to talk things through or just have a some additional support don’t hesitate to give the BCC helpline a call on 0808 800 6000.  The staff are there to offer emotional support as well as practical information.  Lines are open Monday to friday 9 to 5pm and Saturday 10 to 2pm.
