Don't google, it'll only get you more tense about it all 🙂 Yeah, I'm the same, keep feeling my boob! 🙂 We're trying to look on the bright side - I've got 40E boobs so having a lumpectomy will just reduce it by a cup size, consultant said. Good luck x
We're seeing the consultant this coming Wednesday - my partner's being really supportive, he went with me to see the breast care nurse on Friday and he wants to attend every appointment with me. Last Wednesday I was given a ring binder of information and then given more stuff on Friday - it's like studying for an exam! Having by now read most of it, I've got two pages of queries and can't sleep thinking about them all (he's snoring in bed at the mo, lucky thing). Got to get up for work at 5 😞 Good luck on Wednesday 🙂 x
I agree - I have also been impressed with the speed. I'm 10 days post the initial mammogram and have had the follow up appointment, further mammogram, ultrasound & biopsy. Expecting results next Weds, which is only 2 weeks after the initial mammogram. Have met the breast care nurse and will see her again on Weds. The speed is really scary but also impressive. Our local NHS Trust has had a lot of knocking over the past few years, but I have to say, they've been brilliant so far. Good luck with the surgery x
Hello everyone. As title, newly diagnosed, had mammogram/scan nine days ago, biopsied straightaway, given an appointment for a week later (two days ago), when I saw a consultant who confirmed I had breast cancer, was introduced to my care nurse whom I saw again today (and who recommended I register on here) and will be seeing my consultant again next Wednesday, very impressed with the speed at which the NHS has moved (although, in some ways, that actually makes it a little more scary, if you see what I mean). Surgery date hasn't yet been confirmed, but I've been told probably four weeks' time.
