Re: Nicky65

Thanks for posting and representing us all Liz.

Sounds like it was just the sort of service Sally would have loved.

Re: Nicky65

Yesterday I had the privilege, along with Helen and Julie, to attend the service of celebration for Sally. I think we felt we were there to pay our own personal tribute but also on behalf of the ladies from this forum who couldn't make it.

The church was packed with standing room only and that was testament to such a beautiful, bubbly lady taken far, far too soon. How her husband and son managed to speak of their wonderful wife and mother, I just don't know. Sally would have been so incredibly proud of them both.

Sally will still be with us on Tuesday night chat and always part of our laughter and tears.

Re: Nicky65

Hi to all the lovely ladies on this forum. I am Sally's Sister-in Law (Mike's sister) and it is comforting to read your comments. Sally was inspirational to everyone who knew her and I know she gained a lot of support from your comments and, fortunately, meeting some of you. Mike hs set up a facebook page - Celebrating Sally - where you can read comments from her family and friends. THANK YOU to everyone on this forum. You have helped Sally, and her family and friends, more than you will ever know. Best wishes to you all and good luck as you move forward with your treatments. H X

Just read the very sad news about Sally. Am very shocked as she was always very upbeat despite what she was going through. R.I.P. Sheila x

Re: Nicky65

Such very sad news, Sally has been a tremendous support to many, including myself, on this site even though she was enduring difficult treatments herself. She will be truly missed.

My heart goes out to her husband, son and all her family and friends.

Re: Nicky65

As so many of you have said, Sally was great and will be very much missed.

Thanks for posting the sad news Julie, I don't think any of the chat girls wanted to do it as it made it too real, so thank you for being the brave one.

It is a tribute to Sally the number of women posting to say how she had helped them. She will live on in lots of peoples memories. As Julie said earlier,Sallys Secondary friends will be lighting a candle during Tuesday Secondary chat tomorrow, if you are a mets women and want to join us please do, if you haven't got mets or can't join chat perhaps you'd like to burn a candle anyway? Between 8.30 and 9.30.

RIP Sally xx

Very sad news. I was thinking of you cupcake girls today, and of Sally who I finally met last November, when she looked so beautiful and full of life.

Re: Nicky65

Thank Julie for posting what must have been a very difficult post for you.

Sally was such a special person who was determine to carry on with her life despite so many knock backs in the last six months. She supported lots of different people on these and our chat group without moaning about how difficult things were for her.

You'll always have a little place in my hear Sally and I shall missed you terribly,

My condolences to her wonderful husband Mike and her son who was barely 16 on her passing.

I suspect you are up there willing us all on on our own battles with the awful disease.

Special thanks to Helen....Thinking of you

Re: Nicky65

Very sad news. Didn't know the lady personally, but from her posts she was clearly a brave and dignified woman.

Re: Nicky65

So sad to read this. My sincere condolences to Sally's family.

Yet another one snatched away by this cruel, unpredictable disease.

RIP Sally/Nicky65

Re: Nicky65

Thank you for posting this Julie - I know it will have been difficult for you to do.

I too am privileged to have known and met Sally, the last time being in mid-Jan when I shared a room with her on a little get-together of some mets girls. There was no inkling of the tragic time to come (I'm sure those of us there will remember Sally talking about going back to work which we all thought was amazing) and I wish I could have savoured that time even more than I did. Still, at least we did manage to meet a few times.

With lots of love to a lovely lady who will always have a special place in my heart, Liz xxxxx

Re: Nicky65

Oh what sad news. I think Nicky65 (as I 'knew' her) joined this forum about the same time as me, both with mets. I had noticed her absence also but put it down to other commitments like work. I am so sorry to see this news this morning and my heart goes out to Sally's husband, son, family and friends. Thank you for letting us know Juile, I will light a candle tomorrow.

I was thinking of Sally last week, I'd noticed she hadn't been posting and hoped this did not mean she was too poorly to post. Sally always supported others when she was having tough times herself. I'm really sorry to read this news.
Rest in Peace Sally, sincere condolences to your family and friends.x
