Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

Hi
Is this get together still going? Friend and I would be interested. Many thanks

Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

Hi folks
Should we try for another date as the take up is low?

Maggie

Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

Hi Maggie
Don't know if I can do Thursday or Friday. I'll be working Thursday, I think! and Friday I may be waiting in for people to come and lift the flooring in my house to establish how much water damage there is underneath 😞
So I won't know until later in the week.
I expect to be tied to the house for a while.

Carolyn

Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

Brillant, thanks Carolyn. Will be lovely to see you if you're free. Anybody else free to join us?

Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

Hi Isy,
I'll probably be free since my husband is deserting me and heading off to scotland for a couple of days. I'll double check and let you know.

Carolyn

Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

Just bumping up - anyone free to meet me for tea on Saturday?

Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

Hi - I will be in Belfast on Saturday 23 June for an OU day school at Stranmillis College. It finishes around 3.30. I'll be hanging around until 7 when I'm going to the Crescent Arts Centre to a taster session of the Argentine Tango. So I could meet up between times - plenty of nice restaurants in Botanic/Queen's area. And if anyone wants to have a go at the tango - you're more than welcome to come with me!! Book from the Belfast Titango website.

Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

Hi Ladies

I’ve done one of my charts to find out the common denominator for our next meet-up and the most popular option which seems to suit everyone is:

Friday 18th May

I presume we are sticking with St George’s Bar and Grill!

Can I suggest 1pm?

If there are any problems with the above just shout.
Carolyn x

AS USUAL ANY NEWCOMERS ARE VERY WELCOME. JUST LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE JOINING US SO I KNOW HOW MANY TO BOOK FOR.

Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

Hi girls, just back from my hols and have been catching up on the news on the site.
Carolyn and Mags, brilliant news about your scans being stable ........that's such great and very relieving news for you both. 🙂
As far as dates for the next meet up, fridaylunch times are good for me so friday 18th would suit me best . I'll keep an eye on the site though for any updates. I think St Georges market is a great idea Carolyn.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

HI Girls,

Carolyn thats great news about your results :):):)x

Wednesday the 16th suits me in the evening as I'm busy the 17th and 18th in the evenings and I work till 4pm each day and St Georges sounds lovely,
I'll check in again and see what suits everyone.

Julie xx

Ps I possibly could do lunch time on Thursday 16th or the 18th .

Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

Excellent news C what a relief for you so happpppyyyyy!
Fri suits me either lunch or evening and st George's is grand.
Get my results on Mon girls say prayers cross legs fingers whatever!
Maggiex

Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

Hi girls

Scan results back – thankfuly there is no evidence of spread to the bones. I’ve got a lesion on my leg which is benign, so I’ve still got a slight limp and bit of an ache but at least its nothing to worry about and hopefully will settle eventually. I was really concerned but didn’t realise how much until I felt the relief on getting the results.

So, now I’m in a much better place we need to get this thread rockin’ and rollin’:) I’ve read back over the last few comments and I see Isy is in Belfast 16, 17, 18 May. Those are good dates to work on as they are not too soon. What does everyone else think? Now for the usual questions; when and where? Please state which of the 3 dates suit you best and whether you prefer lunchtime or evening. Suggestions would be good too.

To start the ball rolling:

DATE: 1st Friday, 2nd Thursday

TIME: Evening or Lunch not bothered

SUGGESTION: St. Georges Bar & Grill

ALL NEWCOMERS WELCOME

Looking forward to all your suggestions

Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

Hi Isy - nice to hear from you. Nobody has posted here for ages!
The Thursday or Friday would suit me for lunch but will wait and see what others think. Best wishes Jen.

Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

Hi everybody!

Time for a catch up soon? I haven't got around to organising the fundraiser I was talking about last time - just too much on my plate at the moment. It's on the backburner for now, but I will get it sorted eventually.

So in the meantime, how about a get-together? If I can organise to get EJ picked up from school, I could do lunchtime in Belfast some day, or are weekends better? I will be in Belfast on 16, 17 and 18 May for a conference if we don't find a date before then.

Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

Hi Girls

I have been up to my eyes in work lately so havent really had much time to check out the site.
Julie, such good news about your mammogram results, hopefully your MRI will also be clear... it's just so crap waiting and not knowing but, fingers crossed for you for a clear result.
I might be able to go next Fri and will know more next week so I'll confirm then and meantime check out the wardrobe.
Isy, if you feel you do want to go you are welcome to stay at our house, no problem at all. But i'll understand if you choose not to go as well. Carolyn i've sent you at text and will be in touch soon

Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

I'm hesitating - don't fancy a 2 hour drive there and back especially since the day before is Herceptin and I tend to feel a bit fluey. But I will organise another evening - maybe at Galgorm Manor again - very soon. Had bone scan today and have to wait a couple of weeks for results so not a happy bunny at the moment..

Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

Hi Carloyn,

I was thinking in the lines of a wee dress I have, I don't wear a dress very often ( usually at the christmas work do )its not too dressy, oh I don't no lol decisions, decisions I'll probably go with the usual trousers.

Julie x

Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

Hi Julie

I'm in a dilemma about what to wear too especially since it's a fashion show. I won't wear jeans and I won't be too dressy, somewhere in the middle whatever that is!!

Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

Hi Carolyn,

That's great I'll pay you next week at the Culloden looking forward to the night ,I'm just wondering,if it will be quite dressy or normal like jeans.

Julie xx

Re: Northern Ireland Meet-ups

Hi Girls

I've asked for 5 tickets to be put aside for me to collect tomorrow. I will put them on my card if you can pay me at the Culloden next week.

If anyone wants to sort their own out please let me know before tomorrow.

Carolyn x
