Thanks all. I quite understand the punching advice, but unfortunately you can't just kick people out the place they are living, if they refuse to go, without a court order. And I don't even know if the seller dealt with this properly. It was definitely an illegal HMO. My view is the seller is at fault. He will be covering our extra legal costs, our hotel bill and anything else I can wangle. I think he may be doing the punching, though, but that's his call. It's very annoying, but Chris and I aren't very stressy types, so after I'd said wtf more than once, we just concentrated on sorting it. 

Luckily we only had a car full of stuff, not a lorry load. Anyway, we saw Dylan who is still lovely. And now we are having a glass of sparkling wine and in a rather nice flat in Media city. We've even got supper in the oven, I'm too knackered to go out.

Well, I'm now a tattooed woman 😄 40 minute drive 30 minutes to get parked!!!!!!! I DON'T want 11.30 appointments!!!!  I'm doing the breath holding thing, Jane did you do that? My Oncologist wanted me to try as its left side and I'm young.....did I tell you I love him? Young   So any tips on that?

Also, I just kind of got sent off today, no one asked if I had a preferred time slot or said anything else, other than have you spoken to your BCN....just feel a bit lost!

Oh and that I have a preliminary start date of 2nd March but could change

Um, I'm not sure that I can bear to tell everyone this. So we owned our house for an hour and a half. Then we unowned it! Turns out that our seller had a loose understanding of the phrase 'with vacant possession'. We had the option of just exchanging and waiting to complete. Accepting the house with the tenant and hoping he went quietly. Or unpick it, and go again once the tenant is out.

Obviously we also had the option of putting all his stuff in the road and punching him. But my solicitor said that wasn't ok 😂

So we are staying in a hotel, seeing Dylan and hoping it all gets sorted.

There is a FB page that is associated with it though which is lovely.  There are lots of pictures and general chat and it's really upbeat.  Do what I do and just dip in and out and if you can't keep up you can blame chemo brain 😉 xxx

Yay- weekend break from rads and not as sore as yesterday so that's a bonus.

Ali, I thought I knew 5 people who had had BC, 4 of whom had died - 3 in the mid 90s when I was in my first job and one more recently. However, it turns out I know loads of people who have had it, they just didn't let it be known. I suppose it makes sense and there are probably more that I just don't know about.

I'm in the legal world Lexxy so it wouldn't surprise me if it was a similar environment. Having said that, your HR is pants, or at least your boss is. I have been extremely fortunate with my work.

Sarah glad to see you sounding so much better. Charlo had her make up session on Wednesday and promptly declared herself very glam.

Hi Lexxy, thanks for the explanation. I am a disgustingly happy person most of the time. I love getting up in the mornings, although the day can get **bleep**tier as the day goes on.

I looked on the Feb Chemo thread and it is already quite well established and they all seem quite a lot further than me, so I will stay here with my wonder women, who already know and love me (I hope). I'm not sure I could keep up with too many threads anyway and you and Sarah are both in here.

I also got my wig voucher today and I've been booked onto the 'look good, feel good' session on the 27th Feb ... the Macmillan lady says it's fab and you get loads of free goodies to take home .. make up and shampoos and moisturisers etc xx

Susan, the Hickman is a wire put in above your boob so chemo, bloods etc can be administered or taken out through it ... for me, it's because I am a wuss and so would be in place until treatment finishes and I wouldn't have to keep having cannulas etc .... it's also for people who don't have great veins ...
Oooh yes, I got shown around the ward too and I sat in the chair where I will have treatment whilst the nurse went through everything ... I feel so much better xx

Hey Susan, your positivity is shining through and it's making me feel brighter this afternoon. Will you be joining the monthly chemo thread and facebook group?

Don't mind you asking at all 😊 It's because I have terrible veins basically. It takes a lot of faff and a numbers of goes usually to even get a blood sample, they will just collapse with all the blood tests and treatments for chemo.

The PICC would go in at the top of the arm but the Hickman goes in the chest area and has to be fitted by surgical staff x


Strudel, love that positive story, just what I needed today. I am indeed in the advertising world but the digital side, the way you spoke about your job just felt very familiar 😁

I've got my new mattress coming tomorrow and I have bought all new bedding for it, so quite excited about that. That's how exciting my life is when I'm looking forward to a new mattress 😂😂😂😂

I am fine thank you darling.  I have had a very busy day and can honestly say I am absolutely knackered.  I managed to sleep in to 9am, then the shopping arrived.  I then took my brother shopping to fill his cupboards and freezer, back to his and whilst he was putting up shower rails etc., I was setting his kitchen up, hung his curtains and put the quilt cover on his new bedding so that he can officially move in as of today. 

When we were in Asda they were doing 3 packs of irish diced beef for £10 they are normally £4.49 each pack, kilo and half of meat too good to resist, so I got them and I have just done a huge pot of meat and potato curry which is cooking away ready to go in the freezer later (that is if I can find some room!!)

I got home from work and there were two letters, one from the BCN department asking if I needed to go and discuss anything with them as it has been 8 weeks since my mx, with a form asking me to identify any concerns I have. The other letter was from my surgery asking me to go in and discuss any concerns I have since my diagnosis.  This is the second letter from the Doctors, asking me to go on. I'm starting to think that they know something I don't 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Anyway, I'll not be going to either, as I don't have any concerns, I had cancer, I have to have chemo and rads, but apart from that I'm getting on with life quite nicely.
