Over sensitive nipple

Hi Ladies,

I had a lumpectomy and SNB on Monday on my left boob and my nipple is driving me crazy. It’s really over sensitive and I never had sensitive nipples before. I presume this is pretty normal due to nerves being cut but can anyone suggest anything to help take the sensitivity away? 

Pain killers ease it but don’t want to be popping them when I am not in pain from the op
