I got my result and it is the news I hoped for......the changes in the calcifications were benign changes and I don't need to go back to the hospital. Thanks girls for all your support these past 4 months. I don't know what I would have done without you. Good luck in your results, treatment etc. You will all be in my prayers. Take care.
I am away to donate because without Breast Cancer Care Forum I would have been more depressed than I ended up being.
Thank you ALL.

P.S. Although I am OK....I will still pop on from time to time to support others in my position.
Good luck. I've been following this conversation and you are in my prayers. x
Today's the day of the meeting at hospital.....hopefully the waiting game is almost over for me anyway x
Sounds like a protracted business, Linda. You certainly deserve a holiday and, whatever the results of the biopsy, I hope you book something and have a lovely time.
I think they do not give out some information unless asked because some patients simply do not want to know and that is entirely their perogative. This was the case with my mother-in-law who remained blissfully ignorant throughout.
When I was diagnosed, I wanted to know lots but did not want to know their estimation of how long the cancer had been present or percentage survival rates of a person with my specific diagnosis - therefore I did not ask these things and was not told and that's just how I like it.
You are not being "forward" by asking for information pertaining to your case. Please ask as many questions as you need to get the picture that you want - it's your body, your health, your future.
Have you been taking anyone with you to appointments? I just wondered as another set of ears is always handy especially as you mentioned your hearing isn't so good. Prior to each appointment my husband and I typed up a list of the questions to which we wanted answers. We printed off two copies. I used one to refer to during the consultation and I asked the questions; my husband wrote down the answers so that we could refer to them later if required. There is no reason why a friend or relative cannot be present at all types of appointments, although because of radiation risk he/she wouldn't be allowed into the room when/if you have mammogram, CT or radiotherapy or any other radiation-related procedures. I had someone in the same room with me throughout: consultant appointments, ultrasound, biopsies, MRI, chemo suite, waiting rooms for mammography, radiotherapy and CT.
Wishing you all the best.
Thanks girls I really appreciate it. I just dont like to be too forward in asking for something no one has asked for before. Just like I have never been shown the clusters they are testing although I did ask the radiographer what they looked like and also why they instructed a biopsy. Really....they tell you nothing....hence why I ask questions. My hearing isnt great and it would help me to understand what they were testing and why. Its been 12 days since my 2nd biopsy and still no result. I called today but did not get a call back.

Absolutely you can get a copy of your pathology report. I asked my BCN and she printed it off for me and handed it over. Your consultant should explain as much detail as you want to know so ask plenty of questions if you want the detail. Likewise you should have copies of any letters between the hopsital and your GP if you want them.
All the best.
I am expecting the result of my second biopsy this week. Can I ask for a copy of the Pathology Report? Has anyone asked for this or did your doc just say benign or malignant? I would appreciate your comments.
Thanks
