Re: Periods after treatment

Hi Mandy, sorry you only got one response before - I'm afraid that I'm not going to be able to help you much as I've only just finished chemo and was not on Zoladex, and have not had a period since all this began. But I belong to a group on Facebook for younger women with BC where this sort of thing is discussed. It's a fab group and a great alternate source of info and experience - if you're interested the link is https://www.facebook.com/ManchesterYoungerWomensBreastCancerNetwork?book...
If you send a message letting them know you're a younger lady (pre screening age) with a breast cancer diagnosis and that you heard about them here they'll add you into the private chat group.
May be see you there and hope you get a few more answers 🙂

Periods after treatment

Hi all, I have recently posted regarding periods returning but only had one reply (thank you).
I have just returned from seeing my GP as periods have not returned after finishing Zoladex 6 months ago. I am now to hve a blood test to see if I am showing any signs of hormones returning. I am still getting hot flushes (although know where near as bad) and she has suggested I may now be post menapause.
I am 34 was diagnosed at 28 and am absolutely gutted that I may not be able to have a child with my husband.
Periods continued all through chemo, rads and even Tamoxifen. It was only Zoladex that 2 years ago stopped them.
Please shed some light on this for me. Have any of you been in the same situation, when did your periods return etc.
Thanks in advance,
Mandy
