here is my son's dog ..sneaked into my bed and thinks I can't see him. Bless. More animal pics needed ..xx
When I'm in the garden i can often hear a happy chorus of quacking. A friend of mine bought some call ducks to add interest to her garden. Her neighbour has a good sized pond to which the ducks immediately decamped. They have resisted all attempts to lure them back with tasty titbits. Call ducks are miniature ducks which nowadays are kept as pets.
This Photo Was On Facebook but Irs A Exact Copy Of My Sons Dog ..Ted And The Way he thinks!!
I live opposite our village church. The churchyard is raised above the road and from time to time is grazed by sheep so if you look out the front bedroom window you can have a staring match with a sheep.
I'm not much of a churchgoer but they do say prayers for me. Most people in the village know what's wrong with me but the other day someone came into the shop and said 'Sally wants to know why they're praying for you' So i told him but i felt quite embarassed.
She specialises in slobby cuddles, Carolyn! My mum's visiting and Daisy almost burst a blood vessel she got so excited!!
Chemo was 'interesting'! I had a reaction to Taxol and had a lorry load more steroids and saline. Once the symptoms subsided (my mum said my face was the colour of cooked beetroot!) they started the taxol again at a slower drip rate. With all the delays (staffing problems), the whole thing was over 6.5 hours door to door...!
This Daisy (or hurricane Daisy if she's excited!), my 2 year old furry baby 😍
Sitting waiting for weekly Taxol number 2. Silly me, thought a 9.15am appt would mean fewer delays 😂
We had one house martins' nest in the eaves of our house at the beginning of the season. The owners came back in the spring, it's so wonderful to see them back. 4 more new nests appeared during the course of the summer, 2 of which fell off before being used. They are made of mud stuck to the wall with a small hole left for an entrance. The 3 remaining were strategically placed above the door out to the garden so we had to put a box below to catch the guano. They are amazing to watch and you could get a close up from the bedroom window. They have all fledged now but many are still around fattening up for the long journey south. It will be sad to see them go - wish i could join them.
No wonder he looks shocked! 😀
Hi Carolyn,
There is obviously something happening to little birds. I remember a few years ago I decided to take up bird watching as a little hobby and I got myself a guidebook. I was a bit disappointed as I only ever managed to spot about a dozen species locally. However, I have noticed there are a lot more buzzards nowadays. They are beautiful, just like mini golden eagles. I think I may have to content myself with identifying all the different breeds of seagulls in the park next to my house. 😀 xxx
Hi Carolyn,
Believe it or not, sparrows are quite rare up here now. They used to be really common when I was younger. In fact the most common birds in gardens here used to be sparrows and starlings but now you rarely see them, particularly sparrows. I've never seen a woodpecker ever. It would love to see one in the garden.xxx
Hi all,
Can I start a little survey? What sort of birds do you have in your garden?
I live in central Scotland and the only birds I ever see in my garden are pigeons, seagulls, magpies and jackdaws. I like them all and love to watch them even although the seagulls are super noisy. What sort of birds does everyone else have in their gardensxxx
Aww that's soooo cute waffles!

i found this online and thought it was very cute. If anyone else has taken and finds cute animal pics why not post them here. xxx
Hi everyone,
I know lots of us are animal lovers. How about posting some photos of your family peys or just any cute/funny animal pics you find online. I don't know about you, but there's nothing like a cute animal pic to cheer me up. xxx
Hi Blanna,
He is lovely Blanna. Is a podenco a hunting breed. I read an article recently about how badly some of the hunting dogs are treated in Spain when they are no longer required. xxx
We have had him now for nearly three years, he is adorable x
Is this better?
Hi BlannaCould you try posting your photo again as it isn't displaying. Maybe it is too big. xxx
ps. I'm stuggling with the site at the moment as I can't correct anything.
Hey guys,
we went on holiday to a villa in Spain and the owners had fostered this little boy. He had been chucked in a bin just days old with his siblings, our friends own the villa foster abandoned animals,.
We fell in love with him, and brought him home with us.
He is an andalusian podenco maneto, with a pronounced underbite and we love him xxxxx
Hahaha love the dog story, Waffles! Big dogs have their uses! x
Hi everyone,
Since Carolyn was talking about dog poo I thought I'd tell you about a letter I read in Dogs Today magazine several years ago. It was written by a lady who had two large dogs which she walked in her local park. There was only one dog bin at the exit to the park and to save embarrassment she started to carry the full poo bags about in a tote bag while in the park. Anyway, one evening when she was just approaching the exit to the park a man accosted her and ran off with her rather heavy tote bag which, unsurprisingly, she gave up without a struggle. I bet you he got a surprise when he looked inside!😀
Oops again, my pic seems enormous! It's practically dog sized. My sweet little dog is a mini wire haired dachshund, she is the love of my life (well except for hubby, 2 sons, 1 black Labrador and 2 horses!!) but she is little dog/BIG attitude....
Anyone who is an expert, why do some photos turn out upside down? It's a mystery... Loving all the animal photos, keep them coming xxx
Carolyn, there are definite benefits to owning cats!
Carolyn, Isn't he gorgeous!. He certainly look like he's made himself at home. xxx
Aww he's lovely Carolyn.....looks very comfy!!!
