Re: Pets

That is a lovely idea.

My dog died(old age) the week I had my diagnosis -I don't really know how we would have managed with exercising him over last few months and as I was having tests then we did wonder what we would do,

His replacement will be when I am once more 'up and running'

i am sure there are pet owners who would be only to pleased to have this - only when you are totally well as well

Re: Pets

Hi Rosie, have a look at The Cinnamon Trust, they are always looking for volunteers, I'm hoping to do something like that myself x

Re: Pets

That sounds a lovely idea and wld have helped me when İ was going through chemo etc. My husband did it all but İ am sure for most people itvwld be one less thing to worry about. Where are you based? X

Although i am still to commence treatment I got to thinking that when I get to the end of the treatment and have got my strength back to some degree that I'd like to maybe help pet owners in my local area by walking their dogs etc for them while they are in hospital/recovering at home/sick with chemo. Purely on a voluntary basis, but just a way to give something back and because I love animals.

Does anyone do this? Or could I register with the charity?

Just a thought,
