Not been on for a while as had log on issues. I now have confirmed mets in lung and pelvis bone. I’ve had low grade pain from hip, but in recent days I’ve had a very severe pain shooting down my leg. It’s very bad when I sit for any time. I’ve had sciatica, and this is similar, but today I went to docs and he tested me for sciatica, I don’t have it. He then said he had to contact my oncologist for advice. I had a pet scan in early June. Nothing was mentioned then re this hip. Could mets have grown this fast? I’m on denosumab once mth, but only had 2 doses as recently diagnosed, and exemestane daily, which has already started making my joints ache all over. I’m now very scared. Feel unable to tell family as they will find it hard to cope with. Thanks for reading.
Sorry I wasn’t clear. The new pain is in my other hip, in the actual joint.
Hi Stresshead. Thanks for replying. How awful for you. I know I am lucky, or should I say, it could be worse! For example. I’d hate to loose a limb. Pain is not being controlled by the drug doc has given me, so resorting to codeine which doesn’t agree with me, my head is foggy all day. Hence up at this hr! I’ll keep on at them. Take care yourself.
