Re: RIP the amazing Lisa Lynch

A collection in aid of Trinity Hospice has been started by Lisa's husband and parents in her memory. Let's make them proud of how much in donations she can inspire.

Re: RIP the amazing Lisa Lynch

I can't believe it ! I also have been following her blog for a few years and both hubby and I also enjoyed her book. I don't know how her passing has escaped me for a week or so but feel genuinely gutted. Will raise a glass to her tonight for sure. Another life cut short by this horrible disease (off now to have a quiet sob)

The Guardian's lovely obituary for Lisa Lynch.

Re: RIP the amazing Lisa Lynch

So sad to read an obituary for Lisa today, she was so inspirational to so many, and has helped raise the profile for young women with breast cancer.
My thanks to her husband for his posting on the blog at a time when his heart must be breaking

Re: RIP the amazing Lisa Lynch

Incredibly sad news. Lisa Lynch was very talented, funny and pretty and much too young to die. Such a loss for her countless fans and an unimaginable loss for her family.

So very very sad that the immensely talented Lisa has passed away. I read her blog many times. I found it extremely helpful, funny and inspiring. I have never encounted anything like it, it was uniquely groundbreaking. My thoughts are with her devastated family and friends, you were truly blessed to have known her. Rest in peace, your light will continue to shine xxx

Re: RIP the amazing Lisa Lynch

So sad. Such a beautiful girl and taken far too soon. May you Rest in Peace. x

Re: RIP the amazing Lisa Lynch

So very sad to read this.
I didn't know Lisa personally, but having been diagnosed with brain mets myself recently (coincidentally during Christmas 2012, like Lisa at Christmas 2011), have found her matter of fact blog and way of writing a great comfort and reassurance.
God bless Lisa, and her family.

Re: RIP the amazing Lisa Lynch

No words can say what we feel. We are stunned and in shock at the passing of a beautiful young woman. I guess Lisa is busy arranging a party in heaven , having fun and games and generally being her naughty self.
Sending gentle hugs to her husband, family and friends who knew this incredible woman and were privileged to call her their wife and soul mate, daughter, sister, auntie, and best friend . You was a remarkable woman Lisa who touched so many lives. May you sleep peacefully and rest as you deserve. Gentle hugs Tracy xxx

Lisa, you were such a brave and inspirational young woman and I am so very sorry that you didn't make it. My thoughts and prayers are with your wonderful husband, Peter, and your parents, brother and extended family. May you rest in peace lovely lady.

Liz, x

Re: RIP the amazing Lisa Lynch

I cried when I saw her blog last night. I have been following Lisa very soon after she started her blog. She was diagnosed 6 months after me for her primary and a few month prior to me for her secondary. She has been able to express my feelings in a way I would never have been able to do myself.
Sleep tight Lisa. We will thoroughly miss you. My heart goes out to P, her husband, her parents, brother and sister in law and Corey her nephew.

Re: RIP the amazing Lisa Lynch

Me. Lost for words. Doesn't happen often. But that's what happened when I heard we'd lost this lovely, funny, incredible woman. Miss ya.

Re: RIP the amazing Lisa Lynch

I found out about Lisa's death today from my neighbour. Lisa was a beloved niece of hers and she was so upset and was worried about telling me, bless her. I read Lisa's book and her recent blogs and I found her story to be honest, open and funny. I am sure that her husband and family must be devastated, and my thoughts are with them.
Lisa was also a massive Derby County Fan and I will be cheering them on this weekend with Lisa in my heart.
God bless you Lisa. Rest in peace lovely girl.

Such sad news, much too young and much too soon. Rest in Peace Lisa..x

Re: RIP the amazing Lisa Lynch

Bless your heart Lisa-I read and reread your book when I was diagnosed and immobilised by fear. You put into words what I was feeling-albeit more humorously and eloquently than I ever could-and I didn't feel quite so alone.

Rest peacefully Lisa

Re: RIP the amazing Lisa Lynch

I have followed Lisa and Lisa's story for years. It has made me laugh and it has made me cry, sob even! What a terribly sad story it is and, of course, it is only one among many terribly sad and pointless deaths from breast cancer that we know about.

Re: RIP the amazing Lisa Lynch

I am so saddened to hear about Lisa. I found her blog truly inspirational, funny and honest and I could identify with so much she wrote about. I know she had been unwell and in hospice since December but hoped that, with her irrepressable spirit, she would come out fighting. Deeply upsetting to hear she didn't make it. Rest in Peace lovely lady. You are pain free now. Em x

Re: RIP the amazing Lisa Lynch

RIP Lisa,
I 'lurked' on your blog after my own diagnosis at the 'betwixt and between' age of 47, and found it funny, clever, honest, sad and above all helpful. Thank you for the legacy you have given us all. May you rest peacefully now.

RIP the amazing Lisa Lynch

I thought we should most certainly mark the passing of Lisa Lynch, who was an 'inspirational' ( and I don't ever use that word lightly) young woman who dealt with her breast cancer diagnosis with courage and wit and shared her thoughts and insights in a witty, fabulous way through her blog and her book. Her openess about her breast cancer and it's effect on her life has helped so many younger women going through their own breast cancer experiences, and has raised awareness that younger women DO get breast cancer more than any awareness campaign ever could. She died on Monday morning. Here is a link to her blog, but beware that the last entry is very much a tear jerker. RIP Lisa, cos you did good despite the bullish!t.
